AMY G. STRAYER

Children's Books

Amy G. Strayer comes to us from York, Pa.   She has a master's degree in Special Education, an undergrad in Elementary Education, and an endorsement on her teaching certification for Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellness PK-12

Amy comes from a strong family, who value connections and traditions.  They are each other's support through thick and thin and back again.  They have always supported her and have been her inspiration - whether they knew or not :)   Amy values her family and friendships and strives to be the best she can be to those around her.

She has coached several high school and middle school sports, including girls fast-pitch softball, lacrosse and cross-country. Amy is past board president for the Center For Independent Living, participating coach for Girls on the Run - Heart and Sole; executive board for the  the York County Youth Mental Health Alliance; Co-advisor for the middle school Aevidum (which means “I've got your back,” a group created by students in a neighboring school, after they lost a classmate to suicide) and volunteers for other organizations in the county.

Her passion has always been to help others and support them in ways that will reduce anxiety, show them coping strategies, practice journaling, and so much more.   Her books follow this passion in fun ways with the help of some of her "beachy" friends.
